A shocking incident has been reported from Bahraich, Uttar Pradesh, where a man and a woman were found dead inside a hotel room after reportedly staying there for nine days. The bodies were recovered from Hotel Awadh Kailash after hotel staff alerted police on Thursday evening.
Couple Had Checked In on September 22
According to preliminary information, the man and woman had checked into the hotel on September 22 and had been staying in the same room. For several days, hotel staff reportedly had no reason to suspect anything unusual.
No Response From Room Raises Alarm
On Thursday evening, staff reportedly noticed that there was no response from inside the room. After repeated attempts to contact the occupants failed, hotel authorities informed the police.
Police teams reached the hotel and opened the room, where they found the two occupants dead.
Bodies Sent for Post Mortem
The bodies were taken into custody and sent for post mortem examination to determine the cause and approximate time of death. Police are also examining the hotel’s records and other available evidence.
Police Investigate Circumstances
Authorities are now investigating how the two died and what happened during their nine-day stay at the hotel. Police are expected to examine CCTV footage, hotel registration details and other evidence as part of the investigation.
