Delhi murder case: A 20-year-old man was hacked to death in Northwest Delhi’s Shalimar Bagh area on Thursday evening, the police reported on Friday. According to the police, a dispute had ensued between the victim and the attackers, which culminated in bloodshed.
The victim, according to police, has been identified as Nitesh alias Nikki, who was rushed to the hospital after the stabbing, but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

3 accused including juvenile held
The police said they have apprehended three persons in connection with the case, including the key accused Karan (18), his aide Monty (22) and a juvenile in conflict with the law. According to investigating police personnel, the accused allegedly lured the victim out of his house, and took him to a secluded place thereafter, where they stabbed him to death. A police officer aware of the incident said that the case came to light after a PCR call was received. As per preliminary findings, a quarrel had ensued between the victim and the key accused, which spiralled into violence.

Adding to the harrowing details is a video circulating on social media, in which the accused claimed responsibility for the murder, saying that he would face imprisonment for some time. The victim’s kin also alleged that the attackers recorded the assault, intensifying outrage over the brutality of the crime.
Family alleges pre-planned attack
Nitesh’s grieving kin have demanded strict action against the accused, alleging that the murder was premeditated. His mother claimed her son was stabbed as many as ten times after being called out of the house. Meanwhile, his father, a construction labourer, said there may have been prior enmity between the victim and the accused, which may have triggered the attack. He added that he tried to intervene but was asked to return home shortly before learning of his son’s death.

The police have registered a murder case and are probing the incident to establish the exact sequence of events, as well as the motive behind the murder.
