PM Modi’s Big Dialogue with Youth! Will Virtually Address People at 1500+ Locations
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will virtually interact with youth and athletes at more than 1,500 locations across the country on Thursday. The program is being organized on the occasion of National Sports Day, which is celebrated on August 29. PM Modi’s address will be part of the Sports Ministry’s program ‘Khelo India Samvad – Khel Ki Baat, PM Ke Saath’. The program will be held on August 27, two days before National Sports Day.
National Sports Day is Celebrated on Dhyan Chand’s Birth Anniversary
August 29 marks the birth anniversary of legendary hockey player Major Dhyan Chand. National Sports Day is celebrated across the country on the same day. On this occasion, several programs are organized across the country to promote sports and youth power.
PM Modi Had Met Commonwealth Games Medalists
Earlier, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had met Indian athletes who won medals at the Commonwealth Games on August 9. He also shared a reel of his meeting with the athletes on his Instagram account. However, this time his interaction with youth and athletes will be virtual.
Programs at 4-5 Locations in Delhi
In the national capital Delhi, the program will be organized at four to five locations. IIT Delhi is also among them. Union Minister Mansukh Mandaviya will be present at the program being held at IIT Delhi. He said that he would be present at the program at IIT Delhi on August 27.
Veteran Athletes Will Also Interact with Youth
President of the Indian Olympic Association PT Usha, along with current and former Indian athletes and international medalists, will also interact with the youth during the program. These athletes include Manika Batra, Dipa Karmakar, Saina Nehwal, Gagan Narang, Sreejesh, Mary Kom, Baichung Bhutia, Pullela Gopichand, Anju Bobby George, Karnam Malleswari and Mirabai Chanu. In addition, some cricketers will also interact with the youth during the program. The objective of the program is to connect youth with sports and strengthen the sports culture in the country.
