Ranbir Kapoor has officially entered the world of Love & War, and his first look is already creating buzz. Bhansali Productions unveiled the actor’s first official poster from Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s much-awaited period drama on Thursday, September 24, offering fans their first glimpse of his mysterious character.

The poster features Ranbir behind the wheel of a vintage car, sporting a distinctly retro look. Wearing a light-coloured polo shirt and round sunglasses, the actor appears calm yet intense, with slicked-back hair and a bloodied, injured arm. A visible bullet mark adds an element of danger to the otherwise stylish frame.

Ranbir, Alia and Vicky Come Together

Directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Love & War stars Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal in the lead roles. The film is set against the backdrop of war and is expected to combine romance, drama and Bhansali’s signature visual grandeur.

The project marks Ranbir’s reunion with Bhansali nearly two decades after their 2007 film Saawariya. Alia Bhatt is also collaborating with the filmmaker again following the success of Gangubai Kathiawadi. For Vicky Kaushal, the film marks his first collaboration with Bhansali.

January 2027 Release Locked

While the makers have kept the detailed plot and character arcs under wraps, Ranbir’s first look gives audiences a glimpse of the film’s period setting and intense tone.

Love & War is scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on January 21, 2027. The film is planned for release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu, adding to the scale of one of Bollywood’s most anticipated upcoming projects.
