CM Dr. Mohan Yadav Says UCC Report Submitted, Calls for Clarity on Opposition's Stand
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the committee has submitted the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) report to him. He added that the next steps regarding the report will be taken as per the government's process while also urging the Opposition to clarify its position on the issue.
CM Urges Congress to Clarify Its Position
Speaking on the UCC, Dr. Yadav said the Congress should clearly state its stand on the matter. He also referred to the Bhojshala issue, alleging that the Opposition views such subjects through the lens of Hindu-Muslim politics and vote-bank considerations. These remarks were made as part of his political response during the ongoing discussion on the UCC.
Public Participation Highlighted
The Chief Minister said that people from different religious communities participated in the consultation process and expressed their views openly on the proposed Uniform Civil Code. According to him, citizens from all faiths put forward their opinions during the exercise conducted by the committee.
