A man was allegedly robbed of ₹48,000 after offering a lift to an unknown youth in Bhopal's Parwalia Sadak police station area. The accused reportedly launched a violent attack on the victim while he was talking on his mobile phone, striking him on the neck with a sharp edged weapon before fleeing with the cash. The incident occurred near Up-Sarpanch Dhaba and prompted a swift police response.
Victim undergoing treatment at private hospital
The injured man, identified as Raju Pal, sustained serious injuries in the attack and was immediately rushed to a private hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment. Police said the assault appeared to have been carried out with the intention of robbing the victim. His condition is being monitored, and further medical details are awaited.
Police detain minor accused, recover stolen cash
Acting swiftly, the Parwalia Sadak Police launched a search operation and set up checkpoints in the surrounding areas. During the operation, officers detained a minor suspect from Rajgarh district in connection with the robbery. Police also recovered the entire stolen amount of ₹48,000 from the suspect's possession, providing a significant breakthrough in the case within hours of the incident.
