MP Gains Accolades at High-Level Meet in Delhi; CM Dr Yadav Calls State a Top Investment Destination
Madhya Pradesh came in for praise at a high-level meeting of the country’s apex industrial promotion body in New Delhi, with Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav saying the state has emerged as one of the most preferred destinations for investors.
The meeting was chaired by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and attended by Union Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal, besides other senior ministers. Yadav represented Madhya Pradesh at the meeting, where the state’s growing investment activity was appreciated by those present.
The Chief Minister said the state was progressing rapidly on the development front, with virtually every sector witnessing growth. He attributed the rising flow of investment proposals to the confidence investors have placed in the state government and the facilities being provided to businesses.
PM MITRA Park gets special mention
Speaking to the media after the meeting, CM Dr Yadav said he was pleased that the progress being made by Madhya Pradesh in attracting investment had received recognition at the national level.
He highlighted the establishment of the country’s first PM MITRA Park in the state, saying its foundation stone was laid on Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi’s birthday. According to the Chief Minister, 100 per cent of the land available at the park has already been allotted to industrialists.
CM Dr Yadav said the development was appreciated by the ministers attending the meeting, describing it as an encouraging sign for the state’s industrial growth.
30% investment proposals reach ground
CM Dr Yadav claimed that Madhya Pradesh had made significant progress in converting investment proposals into actual projects on the ground.
“Usually, only around 10 per cent of investment proposals materialise on the ground,” the Chief Minister said, adding that Madhya Pradesh had achieved a much higher conversion rate of around 30 per cent.
He attributed the performance to an atmosphere of trust and a transparent administrative system in the state. According to Yadav, the government has succeeded in winning investors’ confidence, encouraging industrialists to commit substantial investments in Madhya Pradesh.
Infrastructure, power and security boost investor confidence
The Chief Minister said a combination of factors was making Madhya Pradesh increasingly attractive to businesses. These include relatively low crime levels, availability of electricity and land, as well as investor-friendly government policies and facilities.
He said the state government had put forward several new investment proposals and was continuing efforts to facilitate industrial development across sectors.
CM Dr Yadav maintained that the steady arrival of investment proposals reflected the confidence of the business community in the state’s policies and administrative framework.
With investment projects increasingly moving from proposals to implementation, the Chief Minister said Madhya Pradesh was strengthening its position as a preferred investment destination and accelerating its journey towards broader economic and industrial growth.
