The Madhya Pradesh government on Thursday stepped up efforts to assist its residents stranded in Nepal amid the ongoing crisis, with state Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav assuring that the state administration stands firmly with its citizens during the difficult time.

Expressing grief over the tragedy in Nepal, CM Dr Yadav said the government was committed to the welfare of people from Madhya Pradesh and would make every possible arrangement to ensure that those affected receive timely assistance.

Control room laid in New Delhi

Several residents of Madhya Pradesh are reportedly stranded in Nepal amid the disaster. In response, the state government has established a dedicated control room in New Delhi to coordinate assistance for people from the state who may have been affected by the crisis.

The control room will serve as a central point for receiving information about stranded residents and extending all possible help to them and their families. The move comes as authorities continue to monitor the situation in Nepal and assess the needs of people requiring assistance.

To make it easier for stranded citizens and their relatives to seek assistance, the Madhya Pradesh government has released dedicated contact details. People seeking information or help can contact the control room at 011-26772005. A dedicated WhatsApp number, 9818963273, has also been provided for assistance. Residents and their family members can additionally contact the authorities via email at recp1mpbhawan@mp.gov.in.

The government has urged citizens stranded in Nepal, as well as their relatives in Madhya Pradesh, to use these channels for information and assistance.

The Chief Minister said the state government remained committed to standing by its people whenever they faced a crisis. He stressed that every possible arrangement was being made to ensure the safety and well-being of Madhya Pradesh residents affected by the situation.

The establishment of the Delhi control room is expected to help streamline communication between stranded residents, their families and government officials, while enabling authorities to respond to requests for assistance more efficiently.
