Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Wednesday launched the Jan Vishwas Portal at the Mantralaya (state secretariat), saying the digital platform would prove effective in achieving the objectives of the ongoing Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan.

The portal was launched on September 2, nearly four weeks after the campaign began on August 7. According to CM Dr Yadav, the initiative has already made a significant positive impact in a relatively short period, with elected representatives and government officials stepping into the field at least once a week to directly engage with people and address their grievances.

Portal to strengthen grassroots outreach

CM Dr Yadav said the Jan Vishwas Portal would play an important role in ensuring that the objectives of the campaign are achieved effectively and that its benefits reach people at the grassroots level.

He directed officials at every level to ensure that information related to the campaign is uploaded regularly on the portal in accordance with the prescribed user manual. The Chief Minister said the systematic and integrated use of the platform would significantly benefit the public by improving coordination and ensuring that field-level activities are properly documented.

The portal has been developed to systematically record comprehensive information about the activities being undertaken as part of the Mukhyamantri Jan Vishwas Abhiyan.

The campaign focuses on taking governance closer to the people, with public representatives and officials visiting the field, interacting directly with citizens and working towards the prompt resolution of their concerns.

Key activities to be recorded

Under the new system, details of field visits, inspections, public interactions and enterprise-related dialogues conducted as part of the campaign will be uploaded to the portal.

Information concerning district-level review meetings, policy-related matters and important directions issued during the campaign will also be documented. In addition, districts will be required to record major innovations undertaken locally and suggestions submitted to the state government.

The move is expected to provide the government with a consolidated view of activities being carried out across districts under the campaign, while also helping officials monitor progress and identify issues requiring intervention at the state level.

Regular review at senior level

CM Dr Yadav said the information uploaded on the portal every week would undergo regular review at the highest level. Necessary coordination would also be undertaken to facilitate the resolution of matters requiring action at the state level.

The Chief Minister stressed that officials must ensure timely and regular uploading of information so that the portal can serve its intended purpose.

With the campaign having completed its first four weeks, the government hopes that the new digital platform will strengthen monitoring, coordination and accountability while ensuring that field-level engagement translates into tangible benefits for the public.
