AIM Congress 2026: MP CM Dr Yadav Holds One-to-One Meeting with UAE Minister, Invites Investment in State
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav held a high-level one-to-one meeting with UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi on Monday during the Annual Investment Meeting (AIM Congress-2026) at the Dubai World Trade Centre, seeking to deepen investment ties and attract UAE businesses to the state.
The discussions focused on accelerating non-oil trade, advanced technology, resilient supply chains and cross-border investments under the India-UAE Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
MP pitched as a preferred investment destination
During the meeting, CM Dr Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s strategic central location, competitive costs, availability of industrial land and established infrastructure as key advantages for UAE investors.
The Chief Minister said the state provides direct and convenient access to several major markets across India. He also highlighted the state government’s industry-friendly policies and single-window clearance system, assuring UAE investors of time-bound support at the state level.
Focus on food processing, clean energy and EVs
The two sides discussed a wide range of investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh, with particular emphasis on food processing, fisheries, renewable energy and storage, pharmaceuticals, electric vehicles, smart manufacturing, logistics, tourism and healthcare.
CM Dr Yadav called for greater UAE participation in developing food parks, fisheries and aquaculture projects, cold-chain infrastructure, green energy initiatives and export platforms.
The focus on food processing and allied sectors assumes significance as Madhya Pradesh seeks to leverage its strong agricultural base and expand its presence in international markets.
UAE minister accepts Global Investors Summit invite
CM Dr Yadav formally invited Al Zeyoudi to participate in the upcoming Global Investors Summit in Madhya Pradesh.
The UAE Minister of State for Foreign Trade accepted the invitation and assured the Chief Minister that he would lead a high-level delegation of prominent UAE investors to Madhya Pradesh.
The proposed visit is expected to provide an opportunity to take discussions on investment opportunities forward and explore projects with potential for long-term collaboration.
5 projects to be identified for early implementation
As a follow-up to the meeting, both sides agreed to identify five to 10 projects that are ready for implementation and establish a joint mechanism to monitor their progress.
A ‘Madhya Pradesh-UAE Investment Round Table’ will be organised as part of the initiative. Dedicated nodal officers will also be appointed for the selected projects to ensure coordination and timely implementation.
The first progress review of the identified projects will be conducted within three months, signalling an effort to translate investment discussions into concrete projects on the ground.
