A 22-year-old woman preparing for the Bihar Police constable recruitment exam in Muzaffarpur was allegedly stalked and attacked with a knife after she rejected the advances of a man identified as Ravi Kumar. Police have registered an FIR and are investigating the allegations.

Woman Allegedly Stalked for 15-20 Days

According to the woman’s complaint, Kumar had allegedly been following her and pressuring her to talk to him for around 15 to 20 days. The woman regularly went running as part of her preparation for the physical efficiency test. On Tuesday, she was allegedly stopped while returning home after a run.

Attack Allegedly Continued at Her Home

The woman alleged that after she rejected his advances, Kumar abused and assaulted her before following her to her home.

According to her complaint, he allegedly attacked her with a knife during the confrontation, striking her on the head and causing injuries. She raised an alarm, after which people nearby gathered and the accused reportedly fled.

Woman Taken to Hospital

Following the attack, the injured woman was taken to a community health centre in Motipur for treatment. Police are recording her statement and investigating the circumstances surrounding the alleged assault.

Complaint Includes Rape and Death Threat Allegations

In her complaint, the woman also accused Kumar of making rape threats and allegedly threatening her father and brother. These are allegations made in the complaint and are being investigated by police.

FIR Registered, Accused Being Traced

Police have registered a named FIR based on the woman’s complaint. Officials said the investigation is underway and efforts are being made to establish the full sequence of events and locate the accused.
