MP Gets 8,635 Cr Investment Proposals at Ahmedabad Dialogue

Madhya Pradesh has attracted investment proposals worth ₹8,635 crore from Gujarat-based investors on Wednesday, with projects expected to generate more than 5,785 jobs, as the state’s Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav pitched the state as a promising destination for industries across sectors.

The proposals were announced during a Mega Investment Dialogue in Ahmedabad on Wednesday, attended by more than 500 industrialists, investors and corporate representatives from major Gujarat centres including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bhavnagar, Rajkot and Vadodara.

Addressing the gathering, CM Dr Yadav said Madhya Pradesh offered extensive opportunities to establish new industrial units, expand existing businesses and scale up operations. He assured investors that the state government would provide the necessary facilities, security and support.

Inviting Gujarat’s industry leaders to the upcoming Global Investors Summit-2027 in Bhopal, the Chief Minister said the combination of Gujarat’s industrial experience and Madhya Pradesh’s opportunities could open a new chapter of economic growth.

He highlighted the availability of industrial land, water and power, along with the development of 48 new industrial parks across nearly 19,000 acres. The state also has eight airports, six inland container depots, expressways, highways and an extensive road network, he said.

Major proposals across key sectors

The proposed investments span cement, packaging, food processing, pharmaceuticals, textiles, engineering, chemicals, aerospace and defence.

Goldcrest Cement has proposed ₹3,000 crore, potentially creating 1,500 jobs, while Edzyos Polyfilms has proposed ₹2,500 crore with an estimated 1,000 jobs. Gujarat Ambuja Exports has proposed ₹1,200 crore in food processing, expected to generate 500 jobs.

Other major proposals include ₹500 crore from Eris Lifesciences, ₹250 crore each from Raghav Woven and Bhavya Machine Tools, and ₹200 crore each from Jay Chemical Industries and Balaji Multiflex.

Further proposals include ₹160 crore from Shraddha Spun, ₹150 crore from Inner Engineering Products and Systems, ₹100 crore from Optimized Group, ₹50 crore each from JMK Food and Vibfast Group, and ₹25 crore from Arunaya Organics. Collectively, the proposals are expected to create 5,785 employment opportunities.

Focus on Gujarat-MP industrial partnership

Addressing the event, CM Dr Yadav described Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat as “twin brothers”, highlighting Gujarat’s technological expertise and industrial experience alongside MP’s land, water resources and central location.

He also pointed to opportunities for Gujarat-based companies in petrochemicals, chemicals, textiles, pharmaceuticals, food processing and automobiles. Madhya Pradesh has received investment proposals exceeding ₹34 lakh crore over the past two and a half years, with more than ₹10 lakh crore already grounded, according to the Chief Minister.

During the dialogue, CM Dr Yadav also held more than 15 one-to-one meetings with major industry groups, including discussions on proposed investments by Arvind Limited and Torrent Power Limited. Investors from several sectors expressed confidence in the state’s industrial policies and investment environment.
