A Meeting That Never Ended

Yuvraj Singh Manchanda, a 31-year-old HR professional from Delhi, was allegedly killed after travelling to Gurugram to meet former colleague Anya Vats. Police have arrested Vats and her associate, Sanyam Sachdeva, in connection with the case. Investigators suspect a financial dispute may have been behind the alleged killing.

Yuvraj was reportedly due to marry in October. On September 6, he had been shopping with his sisters at Lajpat Nagar for his wedding before stopping at the Golden Dragon restaurant.

The Last Call

Around 4 p.m., Yuvraj told his sisters that he had to attend a meeting in Gurugram and left the restaurant. His family later spoke to him around 7 p.m., when he reportedly said he would return home by 10 p.m.

He never came back. His family filed a missing-person complaint on September 11. Investigators subsequently used call records, CCTV footage and other technical evidence to trace his movements and allegedly link him to Vats.

Body Found, Then Cremated

Gurugram police recovered an unidentified body from a sewer in Sector 70 on September 10. According to police, the body was cremated on September 14 after an autopsy. Yuvraj's family later identified him through photographs and his belongings.

The family has since raised serious questions about why they were not informed earlier and alleged that the unidentified body was not uploaded to the ZIPNET system in time. They have also questioned the decision to cremate the remains before they were notified.

A Case Still Unfolding

Police have arrested the two suspects and obtained custody for further investigation. Authorities are still working to establish the precise sequence of events and the alleged motive behind Yuvraj's death.
