Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav has invited investors and industrialists to explore opportunities in the state, assuring them of a business-friendly environment and flexibility in investment policies wherever required.
Addressing the ‘Interactive Session on Invest in Madhya Pradesh’ on the third day of AIM Congress-2026 in Dubai, CM Dr Yadav said more than 2,700 rules and nearly 900 laws had been abolished to make doing business and conducting trade easier in the state.
The Chief Minister said the government was committed to creating a simple and investor-friendly ecosystem. He added that policy concessions would be extended to investors wherever necessary, within the framework of existing policies.
MP woos investors with ease of doing business
Describing Madhya Pradesh as a land of “hopes and immense possibilities”, CM Dr Yadav said the state government was working to promote innovation, development and shared prosperity.
He assured investors that the necessary infrastructure and facilities were being put in place to establish industries in the state. He also invited them to attend the Global Investors Summit-2027, scheduled to be held in Bhopal in January next year.
Mining, tourism emerge as key investment sectors
Highlighting Madhya Pradesh’s mineral wealth, CM Dr Yadav said the mining sector offered enormous opportunities for investment. The state is endowed with important mineral resources, including diamonds and gold, he said, urging investors to expand their businesses in the sector.
The Chief Minister also outlined investment opportunities in tourism and hospitality. Under the state’s policies, hotel projects can receive capital subsidies of up to 30%, he said, pointing to Madhya Pradesh’s vast tourism potential.
The government is also focusing on expanding green energy and creating new opportunities for investment in the energy sector.
Better air connectivity to UAE
CM Dr Yadav highlighted Madhya Pradesh’s aviation policy, describing it as one of the better such policies in the country. He said direct air connectivity from the state to the UAE and Abu Dhabi was now available.
The state government is also providing Viability Gap Funding (VGF) per flight, he said, adding that a flight service from Madhya Pradesh to Sharjah was expected to begin next month.
Rs 15 Lakh crore investment proposals on ground
CM Dr Yadav said investment proposals worth around Rs 15 lakh crore received during his government’s tenure were now beginning to materialise on the ground.
He added that Madhya Pradesh was currently recording exports worth more than Rs 76,000 crore. The government, he said, was simultaneously working to accelerate economic growth and create employment opportunities.
An environment free from crime and timely disposal of government-related work were also cited as key factors for investors.
Industrial land in 29 days
The Chief Minister claimed that industrial investors in Madhya Pradesh could now be provided land within 29 days for setting up units.
He said the government believed in an on-the-spot land allotment mechanism. According to CM Dr Yadav, the state has an industrial land bank of more than one lakh units and a road network spanning over five lakh kilometres.
During the session, Additional Chief Secretary of the Department of Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion, Neeraj Mandloi, gave a presentation on investment opportunities in Madhya Pradesh.
He highlighted the state’s connectivity, investor-friendly policies and expanding industrial ecosystem, with logistics, mining and tourism identified as key sectors.
Under the Logistics Policy-2025, investors can receive assistance of up to 30% of fixed capital investment, among other incentives. Opportunities linked to multimodal logistics parks, the Narmada Expressway and the Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor were also highlighted.
Tourism offers fresh opportunities
Investors were briefed on Madhya Pradesh’s historical heritage, wildlife and natural attractions. The state recorded 13.41 crore tourist visits in 2024, officials said.
Under the Tourism Policy-2025, investors can avail themselves of capital subsidies of up to 30%, reimbursement of stamp duty and lease arrangements of up to 90 years.
