Ladli Behena MP: Friday marked the 34th instalment of the Ladli Behena Yojana in Madhya Pradesh. On the occasion, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav transferred a whopping Rs 1,836 crore to as many as 1.25 crore female beneficiaries of the scheme from Gwalior. The female beneficiaries will received the amount directly in their bank accounts. The event was held in Ghatigaon of Gwalior district.

CM Dr Yadav inaugurates development projects too
On the occasion, CM Dr Yadav also laid the foundation stone and inaugurate 54 development projects valued at Rs 122 crore in Gwalior. As per officials, the projects include 19 works with an outlay of Rs 62 crore, while foundation stones were laid for 35 projects worth Rs 60 crore.
Dignitaries in attendance
Several dignitaries, such as Union Minister for Communications and Development of North Eastern region, Jyotiraditya Scindia, Assembly speaker Narendra Singh Tomar, district in-charge Tulsiram Silawar, state ministers Narayan Singh Kushwaha and Pradumn Singh Tomar, MP Bharat Singh Kushwah, MLA Mohan Singh and others were present at the event.
CM Dr Yadav offers prayers before unleashing the amount
CM Dr Yadav arrived at Gwalior airport on Friday noon. He then travelled to the Devnarayan temple complex via helipad, and offered prayers there, as well as at the Shabari Mata temple before attending the event.
Scheme aimed at strengthening women’s economic security

As per the officials from the Department of Public Relations (DPR) of MP, the state government led by CM Dr Yadav has placed women’s economic empowerment at the top of its policy priorities. Notably, the scheme was launched in June 2023, and has emerged as a key welfare initiative aimed at enhancing women’s social standing and financial confidence. According to statistics, the state government has already released 33 instalments to the beneficiaries from June 2023 till February 2026, the total sum of which amounts to Rs 54,140 crore.
