CM Yadav started off by saying that the Indian postal system, which was laid during the Colonial era, has seen remarkable modernization over the last few years. He added that under the leadership of PM Modi, the department has not only ramped up its traditional services, but has also expanded into new domains.

The Chief Minister underscored that the department, which primarily used to deliver letters once, has now launched a dedicated postal service to deliver ‘Prasadam’ from the revered Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar shrine to the devotees across India.

During the event, CM Yadav called the rural postal workers the ‘soldiers and strength’ of the Indian economy. He then felicitated the rural postal workers who exhibited outstanding performance in their work. He underlined that post offices are also extending substantial benefits to the citizens of the state through insurance and savings schemes.

Postal department fully digitized

Continuing his statements, CM Yadav said that the postal department is now completely digitized to meet contemporary demands. Thereafter, he lauded Minister Scindia’s leadership, by quoting the department’s recently achieved feats.
