MP wildlife news: Jwala becomes mother for 3rd time

Notably, as per wildlife officials of MP, Jwala has become a mother for the third time. With the birth of these five cubs, the total cheetahs born in India now stand at 33, while the overall tally has logged a count of 53.

Gamini had delivered 3 cubs earlier at Kuno

The birth of these five cheetahs also coincides with the third anniversary of the arrival of South African cheetahs in India, adding more relevance to the programme’s success. Earlier, another female Cheetah, Gamini, had delivered three baby cubs at Kuno National Park, marking her second stint as a mother.

It is noteworthy that earlier this month, another Namibian cheetah named Asha had also delivered five cubs at the same park, adding more momentum to the conservation effort.
