MP CM Dr Yadav congratulates team India for trouncing England in T20 WC semifinals

MP news: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav congratulated the Indian cricket team late Thursday night, after they trounced England by seven runs in a pulsating semifinal match under the ongoing T20 World Cup tournament. He lauded the team’s splendid performance, teamwork and determination that helped them seize the berth in the finals.

In his message, CM Dr Yadav extended heartfelt congratulations to the players, and said that their outstanding display on the field has brought laurels to the nation.

Semifinal clash took place at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium

Notably, India entered into the thrilling semi-final clash against England on Thursday at the Wankhede stadium in Mumbai. They defeated England by seven runs and made it to the finals. CM Dr Yadav underscored the players’ exceptional skills, confidence and coordination throughout the match. “The Indian players’ excellent performance, strong team spirit and unwavering determination have brought immense pride to the country,” the Chief Minister said. He added that post-victory, the entire nation, especially the cricket enthusiasts, were basking in the team’s glory. 

“Victory came through hard work, discipline”: CM Dr Yadav

CM Dr Yadav emphasised that team India’s hard work and discipline steered them towards the victory. Furthermore, he said that the team maintained composure under pressure and adopted a strategic approach, which proved pivotal and procured the win. During this, the Chief Minister noted that cricket in India is not merely a sport, but is also an emotion for millions of citizens of the country.

While concluding his statements, CM Dr Yadav expressed faith in the team, and said he hopes the team will continue its winning streak and will lift the winning trophy in the final clash against New Zealand. The ‘Men in Blue’ are set to take on New Zealand in the final match of the tournament on March 8, 2026. The match will unfold at the Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.
