MP Govt holds Agriculture Cabinet meeting in Barwani, CM Dr Yadav offers prayers at Bhilatdev Temple

MP Cabinet meeting: The first-ever agriculture cabinet meeting of the Madhya Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav, took place at Shikhardham in the state’s Barwani district on Monday. The meeting, as per officials, was aimed at strengthening the rural economy of the state.

CM arrives in helipad, offers prayers at Bhilatdev temple

CM Dr Mohan Yadav arrived at the venue via a helipad and landed at the 800-year-old Bhilatdev temple before the meeting was set in motion. During this, he was accompanied by the state’s Deputy CM Jagdish Deora and other ministers such as Tulsiram Silawat, Gautam Tewal and Vijay Shah. 

25+ ministers attend the Cabinet meeting

According to reports, more than 25 ministers of the state were in attendance in the cabinet meeting. Following the meeting, CM Dr Yadav will interact with the members of the tribal community and will also attend the traditional Bhagoria Haat in Julwania.

Temporary ministry set up at 8-acre garden

For the meeting, an 8-acre garden located at the foothills of the Bhilatdev temple was transformed into a temporary ministry. The facility included massive air-conditioned domes, which housed an agriculture exhibition, green rooms, a Cabinet hall and dining facilities.

Upon CM Dr Yadav’s arrival, the tribal folk artists accorded a traditional welcome to him. During this, Minister Tetwal donned a tribal jacket and joined the tribal women to perform a folk dance, adding to the event’s cultural vibrancy.

Focus laid on Nimad’s Agricultural Growth

Notably, the meeting held on Monday marks the state’s sixth cabinet meeting. Special emphasis was laid on seven districts of the Nimad region, such as Khandwa, Khargone, Barwani, Burhanpur, Dhar, Jhabua and Alirajpur.

As per officials, the government took key decisions on agricultural development, irrigation expansion, promotion of spice crops and steps to enhance the incomes of farmers at the regional level.
