Bhooth Bangla collections: Akshay Kumar-starrer horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla has surged past the Rs 100 crore mark in its second week, despite Ranveer Singh’s spy-thriller Dhurandhar 2 continuing to pull audiences to theatres. The action spectacle remains a dominant force even in its sixth week.
Bhooth Bangla records growth in second week
Akshay Kumar’s Bhooth Bangla has exhibited impressive momentum, particularly in its second weekend. As per industry trader Sacknilk, the film amassed as much as Rs 10.75 crore on its ninth day (second Saturday), boasting 9.266 shows nationwide. With the collections, its India gross stood at Rs 120.10 crore, and the net collection was recorded at Rs 100.90 crore.
Notably, the film had concluded its opening week on an impressive note, raking in Rs 84.40 crore net domestically and Rs 135.45 crore globally. Despite a dip on weekdays, it maintained stability, earning Rs 5.15 crore on the seventh day. Its occupancy rates have hovered between 12% and 20% during weekday run, and it posted a visible spike over weekends.

Bhooth Bangla collections: Dhurandhar 2 maintains supremacy at box office
In contrast, Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge has continued its extraordinary theatrical run. Even on the 38th day, the film managed to earn close to Rs 2.95 crore, taking its net total to a staggering Rs 1,127.14 crore.
However, the film’s occupancy has now declined to single-digit figures from its initial highs. Even after a month of its release, the movie’s enduring appeal has allowed it to dominate the box office landscape.

Speaking about the competition, Akshay Kumar acknowledged that Dhurandhar 2 is a ‘great film.’ while noting the distinct audience appeal of both the projects. He underlined that Dhurandhar 2 caters primarily to adult viewers, whereas Bhooth Bangla has been portrayed as a family-friendly entertainer, suitable for kids and adults alike. He also emphasised that the team prioritised storytelling over trends during the movie’s development.
