Gurugram man death: A 29-year-old man was found dead at his Paying Guest (PG) accommodation in Gurugram’s Sector 53 on Thursday, moments after he had called his fiancee to meet him at the room, the police reported on Saturday. The police suspect he may have died due to an overdose of sex-enhancement drug, as multiple wrappers of medicines and health supplements were found from his room.

Gurugram man death: Deceased a native of Nagpur
The police said that the man who died under mysterious circumstances has been identified as Rohit Lal (29), a native of Nagpur. He was employed with the Quality Council of India in New Delhi. The incident, as per reports, came to light on Thursday morning, when Lal failed to respond to repeated calls made by his colleague, and did not open the room’s door too.
Colleague calls cops
According to police, Lal and his colleague would often commute to work together. However, on Thursday, Lal remained unresponsive. His colleague then alerted the police, who arrived at the spot and broke the door open. Upon entering the room, Lal was found lying motionless on his bed.
The cops recovered numerous wrappers of medicines and health supplements from the scene, suggesting their consumption prior to his death. The police sent his body for autopsy and then handed it over to his kin.

Drug overdose under scrutiny
As per a preliminary probe, Lal had invited his fiancee to meet him shortly before the incident. However, it is being suspected that he died before the meeting could take place. The police are suspecting that he may have consumed sex-enhancement drugs, triggering a cardiac arrest. However, officials maintained that the exact cause behind his death will only be confirmed after forensic analysis.

Station House Officer (SHO) Satender Rawal said that Lal’s viscera samples, along with the recovered medicines, have been sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) for a detailed examination. He added that all the aspects of the case are being probed.
