UP Board Results 2026 declared: 52 lakh students of Class 10, 12 receive scores; check pass percentage here

UP Board Results 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) on Thursday announced the UP board results 2026 for students of grade 10 and 12, providing relief for more than 52 lakh students across the state. The results were declared at 4 pm, and revealed a strong overall performance.

The Class 10 students logged a pass rate of 90.42%, while the pass percentage for the Intermediate (Class 12) students stood at 80.38%. The students who took the exams can access their marksheets by entering their roll numbers on the official website.

The consistent trend continued this time too, as girls outperformed boys in both the exams. In Class 12 exams, the female students recorded a pass percentage of 86.32%, compared to 75.04% among boys. Similarly, the girls led the charge in Class 10 exams too, by registering a pass rate of 93.76%, surpassing male students whose figures froze at 87.30%. As per the statistics released by UPMSP, close to 11.79 lakh girls and 11.72 lakh boys qualified the High School examinations. 

Shikha Verma tops in Intermediate exams

Shikha Verma took the top spot in Class 12 exams by securing 97.60%. In Class 10 exams, Kashish Verma from Babu Ram Savitri Devi Inter college in Sitapur and Anshika Verma of Modern Academy Inter College jointly shared the first position with 97.83% marks. 

Notably, the UP Board exams were conducted from February 18 to March 12, 2026 across as many as 8,000 centres, including government, aided and private schools. 24.86 lakh students took the Class 12 exams, which comprised 13 lakh boys and 11.77 lakh girls. Of these, more than 76,000 students were private candidates.

UP Board Results 2026: What are the minimum passing marks?

Students are required to secure a minimum of 33% marks to be declared qualified in the exams. Those who fall short of the same will have the opportunity to take the compartment exams, whose schedule is expected to be announced shortly. The compartment system paves the way for the students to improve their performance or clear failed subjects within the same academic year.
