The CBFC, in an official statement issued via Press Information Bureau (PIB) on ‘X’, clarified that the film’s digital print had already been handed back to its makers well before the leak. The statement read, “Reports alleging that the Tamil movie Jana Nayagan has been leaked from the CBFC are false and baseless.”

Furthermore, the board clarified that access to the film remains strictly controlled. It added. “The content is password-protected and the KDM (Key Delivery Message) is solely with the producer or filmmaker.
