IPL 2026 GT vs DC: The Gujarat Titans (GT) held their nerve in a pulsating Indian Premier League (IPL) 2026 fixture by sealing a thrilling one-run victory over the Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on Wednesday. Chasing a formidable target of 211, Delhi fell agonisingly short at 209/8 despite a valiant effort anchored by KL Rahul, whose fluent knock kept the hosts in contention until the closing stages.

Gill, Buttler and Sundar power GT
Earlier in the evening, Gujarat posted an imposing 210/4 after being sent to bat, riding on commanding performances from Shubhman Gill, Jos Buttler and Washington Sundar. Gill led from the front with a composed 70 off 45 deliveries, anchoring the innings with authority. Buttler injected early momentum with a blistering 52 off just 27 deliveries, while Sundar’s late flourish (55 off 32) propelled the Titans past the 200-run mark.
Despite disciplined spells from Delhi bowlers, including Mukesh Kumar and Lungi Ngidi, the visitors maintained a relentless scoring rate.
IPL 2026 GT vs DC: Rahul’s lone battle proves futile
In response, Delhi began brightly, with Rahul forging a crucial 76-run opening stand alongside Pathum Nissanka. Rahul looked in sublime touch, compiling a classy 92 off 52 balls and keeping the chase firmly on track.
However, the team’s middle order failed to capitalise, leaving too much for the lower order in the closing overs. South African finisher David MIller reignited hopes with an unbeaten 41 off 20 balls, taking the contest down to the final delivery.
Final over drama seals thriller

With just two runs needed off the last two balls, the match took a dramatic turn. Miller declined a single off the penultimate delivery, opting to retain strike, but failed to connect on the final ball as Gujarat sealed a dramatic win. Spin ace Rashid Khan proved instrumental earlier, picking up key wickets to stall Delhi’s momentum, while Prasidh Krishna held his nerve in the decisive final over.
Notably, the victory marked Gujarat’s first win of the season, turning around their campaign after a slow start, while Delhi were left to rue missed opportunities in a contest that went down to the wire.
