Dhurandhar 2 collections: Dhurandhar 2- The Revenge has stormed past Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, to become the second-highest grossing Indian movie domestically on Wednesday. The spy-thriller, headlined by Ranveer Singh, has minted a whopping Rs 1033.37 crore (net) in India within 20 days, marginally overtaking Baahubali 2’s long standing record of Rs 1030 crore.
Globally, the film’s figures have soared past Rs 1641 crore, making it trail Pushpa 2: The Rule, which continues to lead the worldwide charts with Rs 1742 crore.

Momentum and mass appeal fuel film’s run
Notably, the Aditya Dhar directorial’s box office journey has been nothing short of extraordinary. The film opened with Rs 102.55 crore on March 19, and amassed Rs 674.17 in its first week alone. Although its collections declined in the second week to Rs 263.65 crore, the movie has maintained steady momentum, earning between Rs 20-30 crore daily in its third week.
Even on Day 20, the high-octane spy thriller managed Rs 10.10 crore in India, alongside Rs 4 crore overseas, reflecting sustained interest of the audience.
Dhurandhar 2 collections: Pushpa 2 leads due to Allu Arjun’s pan-India presence
Despite the Dhurandhar sequel’s remarkable run, Pushpa 2 leads the chart with Rs 1234.10 crore (net) in India. The Allu Arjun starrer capitalised on the star’s pan-India presence, combining a massive Rs 945.75 crore from Hindi markets with Rs 511.70 crore from Southern regions alone.
In contrast, Dhurandhar 2 has drawn the bulk of its strength from the Hindi belt, raking in Rs 960.54 crore. The lack of comparable Southern market traction could prove decisive in the final tally.

Why is Dhurandhar 2 striking gold?
Trade analysts have attributed the film’s success to powerful word-of-mouth, repeat viewership and Singh’s electrifying performance. Its mass appeal, viral dialogues, festive release window and wide dubbed reach have added to its popularity.
Dhurandhar 2 lacks Rs 200 cr to clinch top spot
With a gap of as much as approximately Rs 200 crore, Dhurandhar 2 remains within striking distance of the top spot. Industry experts suggest that surpassing Pushpa 2 will require an unprecedented and sustained theatrical run.
