Chadha’s ‘Silenced, not defeated’ video raises questions

On Friday, Chadha took to ‘X’ and Instagram to share a video montage of his parliamentary interventions, underscoring the issues he has consistently raised in the House. His clip outlined concerns ranging from the tax burden on the middle class and banking penalties to food adulteration, air pollution, data privacy and rising costs in healthcare and aviation. Towards the end of the video, Chadha was seen walking out of the Parliament, accompanied by a symbolic caption and the words: “Silenced, Not Defeated.”

In a pointed statement, he also questioned the rationale behind his removal, asking whether raising public issues in Parliament had become a crime? He maintained that his interventions were always intended to benefit citizens.
