MP Political news 2026: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav on Thursday virtually inaugurated a divine pillar dedicated to saint Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, which has been laid in Seoni district. The Chief Minister was in virtual attendance at the event from Jabalpur airport. The event was held at the Shankaracharya Chowk in Seoni, where religious leaders and locals were present in thick numbers.

While addressing the ceremony virtually, CM Dr Yadav said that Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati’s life is a stellar example of dedication to Indian culture, the Sanatan tradition and the building of a nation. He added that the installation of the divine pillar is a proud moment for the state.
Furthermore, he said that the installation of the divine pillar at Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati’s birthplace would serve as a source of inspiration for future generations. He reflected on the saint’s life, calling it an unwavering commitment towards spiritual values.

Continuing his statements, CM Dr Yadav reflected on the teachings of Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati, stressing that it is the collective responsibility of the society to imbibe his thoughts and pass it on to the people. He then underlined that the MP government is constantly drawing inspiration from the Sanatan Dharma, while concurrently ensuring good governance.

He went on to say that development work is underway at all divine sites associated with the leelas (pageants) of Lord Krishna, so that they emerge as revered pilgrimage centres across Madhya Pradesh.

Among various religious leaders present on the occasion, Jagadguru Shankaracharya Swami Sadanand Saraswati Maharaj outlined the life and contributions extended towards Sanatan Dharma by Adi Shankaracharya, the great sage. He also paid tributes to Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati during this. The ceremony was brought to an end with collective prayers and reaffirmation of dedication towards preserving the nation’s spiritual heritage.
