MP CM Dr Yadav announces development projects worth Rs 363 cr for Burhanpur

CM Burhanpur: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister (CM) Dr Mohan Yadav was on a tour to Burhanpur district on Sunday, where he visited Nepanagar and announced a string of development initiatives valued at Rs 363 crore. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 127 development projects aimed at ramping up infrastructure and improving civic facilities in the region.

CM Dr Yadav performs ground-breaking ceremony for Navatha Dam

CM Dr Yadav, while addressing a public gathering at the Nehru Stadium ground, performed the ground-breaking ceremony for the Navatha Dam project, carrying an outlay of Rs 1,676 crore. The project is being viewed as a move to boost irrigation and ensure water availability in the district. Additionally, the Chief Minister inaugurated a new municipal office building constructed at a cost of Rs 2 crore. He then laid the foundation stone for a proposed industrial cluster in Satpayari, expected to create employment opportunities and stimulate local economic activity. 

Tribal conference organised in Nepanagar

A tribal conference had been organised in Nepanagar in light of CM Dr Yadav’s visit. Additionally, a workshop was conducted as part of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan, which aimed at spreading awareness about government welfare schemes centred on tribal communities. During the event, CM Dr Yadav interacted with the tribal community members and emphasised the state government’s commitment to ensuring inclusive development and better access to welfare initiatives. 

CM takes stock of exhibition

Before the programme kicked off, CM Dr Yadav took stock of an exhibition set up by various government departments, which showcased development initiatives and welfare schemes. During this, eligible beneficiaries were handed certificates and benefits under various government schemes.

The exhibition featured stalls from several departments such as horticulture, agriculture, forest, animal husbandry and the livelihood mission. Through these displays, the farmers and tribals were apprised of modern farming techniques, livestock management, employment opportunities and self-employment schemes.
